 The Torso
 A 3D Integral Bodywork Approach

Learn to see the torso with a fully three-dimensional vision, and explore a pallet of gentle hands-on techniques to deeply affect this area of the body.

In addition to the surface components of skin, muscles, fascia and bones, the torso houses internal compartments, organs, tubes, sphincters, pressure differentials, double-membranes, sliding surfaces, and ligamentous tethers that all must work in concert to facilitate healthy functioning. In this class you will learn the anatomy and relationships of these structures, and practice techniques to visualize, palpate and therapeutically affect them.

A variety of hands-on techniques will be introduced, including rhythmic movements, counter-compressions, visceral, craniosacral and myofascial approaches. The implications and interplay of these techniques as they apply to the torso will be discussed.
